Haywood Road is the main road through the historic central buisiness district of West Asheville. It extends from Patton Avenue, at its western end, to meet up with Clingman Avenue, after crossing the French Broad River, at its eastern end. Haywood Road is approximately two miles long, surrounded by neighborhoods for most of its length. The I-240/I-26 highway intersects Haywood Road almost at the mid-point.

To assist in location of businesses, we have divided Haywood Road into seven sections and created focused maps of those sections. Businesses are listed in order as you would approach them starting from Patton Avenue and driving east along Haywood Road, from 1 to 7, corresponding to convention of north at the top of the maps and left to right reading.

Section 7 also overlaps the River Arts District as Haywood Road crosses over Riverside Driave and meets up with Clingman Avenue.
