When Cathy and Krista hatched the idea for their business back in 1999, they were inspired by the growing vibrant neighborhoods of West Asheville and the need for community-oriented walkable businesses. They both share a passion for healthy eating and a commitment to providing a welcoming atmosphere where families and neighbors can relax. At the West End Bakery and Cafe, we use 100% organic flour and the freshest ingredients available. Everything served at the West End is made from scratch, and whenever possible we use locally grown produce and organic products. Come for breakfast and stay for lunch!

We are now serving a Saturday and Sunday Brunch, from 8 am - 3 pm, showcasing locally grown, natural foods from a variety of regional farms such as Lindley Mills grits, Hickory Nut Gap sausage, Sunburst smoked trout and Farside Farm eggs. We now have an espresso machine! Stop in for a latte, cappuccino or espresso today.

We also offer organic fresh-roasted coffee, a variety of hot and cold teas and a cooler full of juices and sodas, as well as filtered water.

Directions:

Take Exit 2 (West Asheville Exit). Turn right at the light onto Haywood Road. We are exactly 1/2 mile on the right, across the street from the Amoco/BP station and just before the intersection of Haywood Rd., Vermont Ave. and Sandhill Rd.

Turn onto Haywood Road and travel 1.3 miles. We are on your left across from the Amoco/BP station.

West End Bakery is located on Haywood Road in West Asheville between Brevard and Patton.

Traveling from Patton Ave. you are sure to see our market wall mural which faces our parking lot. Shown above at the dedication celebration the wall mural was painted by artist Sally Bryenton.

Full cakes are available by special order. Please call 48 hours ahead to place cake orders.
